My name is Alain Wattelet manager of Alain Cabinet Hardware formerly Alain’s Cabinets, I started as an apprentice cabinet maker at the age of 13 in France where I learned my trade for four years finishing top of my school. I then moved from employment to employment to further my education and attune my skills as a cabinet maker.

I moved to Australia in 1980. In 1983 I started a small partnership manufacturing kitchens, bars, wall units and other cabinets.

In 1992 I decided it was time to do something else. Since people loved DIY I thought that a cut to size service would be appreciated in the west. There was also a need of a place where trades people and handymen could purchase hardware specific to kitchen manufacturing, and being a tradesman and knowing the products I can offer assistance and advice to most customers.
